Residents and community groups can use the Civic Center for special events free of charge. To reserve the Civic Center call Dorothy at City Hall (770) 451-8745. Honeysuckle Park This 20 acre park includes Fleming Arena, two regulation football/soccer fields and four baseball fields that accommodate adult softball, T-Ball and Minor, Major and Senior baseball leagues. All fields are lighted. The park also includes restrooms, concession stands, a picnic pavilion and a one mile walking trail. Fleming Arena Located at Honeysuckle Park, Fleming Arena is a 17,000 square foot facility that includes two basketball courts and two volleyball courts. The bleachers within the arena can seat up to 600. The arena also houses two full size classrooms, locker and shower facilities, a concession stand and Recreation Department offices. Fleming Arena was named for former Councilman Forrest Fleming. Paul Murphy Boxing Club Located at 3785 King Avenue, the Paul Murphy Boxing Club was founded in 1980 by former councilman Paul Murphy. This landmark facility once served as the training grounds to former Olympic gold medalist and Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield. Every year, the Club's rings are moved to Fleming Arena, which serves as the boxing venue for the Georgia Games. The club is opened weekdays from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and lessons are available. Neighborhood Parks: Autumn Park Located between Allen, Autumn, McClave and Raymond Drives, Autumn Park is 6.3 acres and includes picnic tables, large playing fields and playground equipment. Proposed plans for Autumn Park include a walking trail, picnic pavilions, exercise stations, lighting area and an area specifically designated for small children. Brook Park Located at 3193 Ramond Drive, Brook Park is a sprawling 6 acre park with two tennis courts (lighted), a picnic pavilion and playground equipment. Chicopee Park Located at the end of Chicopee Drive, Chicopee Park covers just over an acre and includes playground equipment, a picnic pavilion and a medium size playing field. English Oak Park Located at 4074 English Oak Drive, English Oak Park is just over an acre and includes playground equipment. Proposed plans for English Oak include a picnic pavilion, additional playground equipment, an exercise station, a small amphitheater and lighting area. Check out the proposed concept plan for English Oak Park. Flowers Park Located behind the Police Department at 3740 Park Avenue, this 4.7 acre park includes the City's 25 meter swimming pool. The entrance as well as parking is accessible from New Peachtree Road. The pool will open May 28 through late August. Pool Hours are as follows: Mondays and Fridays from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Family passes for residents and non-residents are available. Bernard Harpern Park Located at 4150 Tilly Mill Road, this 4 acre park includes two tennis courts (lighted), a multi-purpose playing field (unlighted), a picnic pavilion, playground equipment and a shuffleboard court.
